The real power source of STC is enclosed in all our Research and Development activities. The proposed innovative technologies are the result of the wide knowledge, competence and curiosity of our brilliant team of researchers and scientists who collaborate to ensure a better future for our Planet and at the same time the satisfaction of our customers. The uniqueness of STC processes has been protected, over the years, by several National and International patents which represent the authentic secret of our achievements. Many years of experience in the management of research and industrial development projects allowed STC to become the Leading Coordinator of numerous high-profile research projects, financed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) and Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). The R&D activities include the construction of pilot and demonstration plants. In our R&D department we have available many testing plants like:
- Pilot plant for solid-liquid suspensions with batch reactors including pressure reaction up to 10 bars;
- Filter-press, vacuum filters and centrifuges;
- Micro and nanofiltration, reverse osmosis plants ;
- High temperature furnaces;
- Electrodialysis plant;
- Chemical reactors;
- Electrochemical bench;
- Heat pumps drying systems (continuous & batch);
- Freeze dryers and pasteurization systems
