Water
Filtration technology enables the removal of particulate matter from water by forcing it to pass through a porous media. This process can easily be applied to various industries for primary water uses as well as in drinking and wastewater treatment.
STC provides several different filtration systems with varying pores sizes and chemical properties, filtration media and types depending on the necessities and applications:
- Sand filters (pressure or gravity filters)
- Dual media filters (sand + anthracite)
- Activated carbon filters (for removal of free chlorine, chlorimide, chlorine dioxide, phenols, organic and pesticides, herbicides etc.)
- Cartridge Filters (stainless steel, plastic material)
- Iron and manganese removal Filters
Quartz sand, silica sand, anthracite coal, zeolites, garnet, magnetite, dolomite, pyrolusite, alumina, activated carbon and other materials may be used as filtration media. Silica sand and anthracite are the most commonly used types.
