Lead
The equipment is part of a more complex paste pelletizing system where the paste, after filter press, is pre-mixed with Soda Ash and Carbon and extruded in form of pellets. The main advantages of the system are the reduced amount of fluxes used, reduced dust load to the baghouse, easy paste transport and handling, increased furnace productivity and the possibility to avoid the paste storage on the ground resulting in a cleaner indoor environment.
The test has been implemented with clay as best substitute of lead paste.
